Salesforce Marketing Cloud Question: –
I am sending an email using ‘Send flow’ in Email Studio. The record in Sendable data extension against my subscriber key ‘12345’ has my email address as ‘vikram.singh@abc.com‘. However, I received the email on ‘vikram.singh@xyz.com‘ and not on ‘vikram.singh@abc.com‘. I tried again and got the same result. What could be the reason?

Then I tried sending the email through ‘Journey Builder’ and it worked fine and sent the email to the ‘vikram.singh@abc.com‘. What could be the reason for this?

 Lets say you are one of the subscriber whom you have sent an email already and you exist in All subscribers List that is 12345(Subscriberkey), vikram.singh@xyz.com (email address) you will receive the email to vikram.singh@xyz.com because at the time email send the system looks for email address associated to the subcriberkey 12345 which is vikram.singh@xyz.com

Now when you are trying to send email with a target DE where subscriberkey is 12345 but email address is changed to vikram.singh@abc.com then from the journey settings we can define the email address to be selected either from all contacts or from the target DE.
